Director Pacific Division

Anthony was first appointed in November 2021 to serve the remaining term (2022) of the vacant Vice Director Pacific Division position. In August 2022, running unopposed, Anthony was elected to serve a new 3 year term starting January 2023 as Vice Director. In January 2024, Anthony assumed the Director position commencing after the January Board Meeting where Kristen McInyre, K6WX the Pacific Divison Director was elected to 1st Vice President which automatically appointed Anthony to Director. 

Serving as a Director for the ARRL involves attending two annual board meetings in Connecticut and serve on committees as assigned by the ARRL President/Board.  Further Directors are encouraged to attend club meetings, amateur radio events, be available for members to provide feedback and answer questions, encourage/recruit new people to the amateur radio service, to support / join the ARRL and the local affiliated clubs in their respective areas. 

Anthony is a Life Member of the ARRL, contributes annually to the ARRL Diamond Club program, Volunteer Examiner, and licensed amateur radio operator for over 30 years having earned his novice license at age 16 and presently holds an Extra Class License.  

He was born in Carson City, Nevada and presently resides in North Las Vegas where he is an employee of Knowledge Services as Technical Architect assigned to the State of Nevada, Department of Transportation, Information Technology Division. Anthony retired May 2023 from 26 years of service with the State of Nevada. He has served in many information technology related roles in managing projects, teams of developers, software development and systems administration along with administrative roles such as Senior Deputy Treasurer for Southern Nevada State Treasurer's Office, and Senior Policy Advisor to the Lt. Governor of Nevada. 

Along with serving the ARRL, he is active/member of clubs in Nevada/Northern California and serves on two amateur radio clubs in the Las Vegas and Reno/Tahoe area along with serving on the BrandMeister USA Admin Team supporting users connecting DMR Repeaters and Hotspots to the global network. He has also been a frequent presenter at the annual Pacific Division Convention (Pacificon) presenting DMR Topics such as the DMR 101 and Building a Codeplug and the monthly Sierra Nevada Amateur Radio Society Ham Radio Night on Zoom. 

You will find Anthony on many amateur radio modes/bands via DMR, System Fusion, EchoLink, DSTAR and AllStarLink. On occasion he will be found operating on HF bands, primarily on 10, 17 and 20 meters via SSB (Phone) or on a rare occasion on digital modes such as VarAC or FT8.
